Smart Notebook 11.0

A few barriers that may exist in diffusing the Smart Notebook 11.0 are: cost, availability, and teacher resistance. Although the school that at I work at has quite a few SmartBoards, not every teacher has one. This would mean not every teacher would have an opportunity to use the software, unless the school purchased more SmartBoards. This leads to increase in cost for the school budget. Also some teachers at the school consider themselves not to be “tech savvy.” Their idea of implementing technology into their classrooms is an over head projector. This will call for professional development and training on the software, as well as the SmartBoards.
